A stroke doesn’t end when the hospital stay does—and for many survivors, the hardest challenges come after. BE FAST Stroke Awareness is here to ensure no one faces recovery alone, by promoting early recognition and supporting access to continued care.

Who are we?

BE FAST Stroke Awareness is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing stroke awareness, empowering stroke survivors, and ensuring patients and families have access to the care they need—before, during, and after stroke.

At the heart of our work is a simple truth: early recognition saves lives, and access to care changes outcomes.

Why BE FAST Exists

BE FAST was born from a moment that changed everything—a stroke patient canceled a critical follow-up appointment not because they didn’t want care, but because they couldn’t afford transportation.

Recovery doesn’t end at hospital discharge. Yet many survivors face financial, logistical, and social barriers that prevent them from continuing care. BE FAST exists to educate communities about stroke while directly supporting patients in need.
